Perhaps you don't want us to manage your search engine optimisation or pay-per-click advertising campaigns, in which case you may want to learn the skills and techniques to run these in-house. To get started, we offer a number of search engine marketing training courses for individuals or companies who want to develop their search engine optimisation and pay-per-click advertising skills.
We can offer a standard training module for these courses, or provide training for your own particular needs or requirements. Courses are held at your offices or in a training location of your choice and can include follow-up sessions or additional consultancy support if required.
The standard modules we offer are:
Managing search engine optimisation in-house
This course is designed to teach in-house marketing personnel the fundamentals of successful search engine optimisation and marketing. It includes these key elements:
- identifying the objectives for web traffic to a site
- keyword research and selection
- competitor analysis and identifying the factors required to achieve a successful ranking
- building the optimisation into a website
- dealing with frames, Flash and other design factors
- submissions to search engines and directories
- analysing website usage
- maintaining and developing search engine rankings
This course is usually one full day, and can be followed up by one or more half day support sessions. We can also offer a range of variations on this, tailored to your needs. Some examples include an introduction to pay-per-click advertising, search engine friendly web design, or search engine marketing campaign management.
Running cost-effective PPC advertising campaigns
This course is aimed at marketers who want to start, or improve the effectiveness of, a pay-per-click advertising campaign. The coverage includes:
- how pay-per-click advertising works and the main tools available
- assessing the advantages, and disadvantages, of PPC compared to website optimisation
- creating new accounts and the options available
- keyword research and selection
- writing effective adverts and the use of 'landing pages'
- bidding strategy and campaign management
- conversion analysis and campaign measurement
- dealing with 'click fraud'
- generating and using reports
This course can either be a half day or full day session, depending on the depth of coverage required. As with the SEO training course, this is very much 'hands on' either working with your own campaign or a demo PPC campaign to help illustrate the techniques involved.
